So lecture season is nearly upon me!

Since 4th of January I have been beavering away in my studio on lots of different productions for radio, Tv ( Starplan Kitchens) , film, gaming and On hold systems. But soon I begin this years lectures and directing with Bath Spa University’s BA Drama Students. I have 12 students for this 7 week module. I teach them voice over acting for commercials, monologues, radio dramas and this year I’m introducing Corporate Video voicing too. This culminates for 4 groups of students to spend a day each in our foley studio making their show reels. This module is marked by me and goes toward their over all grade for their degree.

Of course, Being a voice over is my first love and my regular gig, so after lecturing and teaching all day, I come back and voice in the evenings! Luckily I only do 1 and a half days at the Uni, so lots of time to make lots of ads etc.,

Recent work includes….

Videos for Phillips Netherlands,

Thames Clippers Line App

Plus all the hundreds of on hold messages and radio commercials I make per week.

Here are just 3 examples of different styles of radio ads. With thanks to UTV, RN Creative and UKRD for these.

I truly am a versatile voice, super fast worker and a pro. Except no substitute.

, Get the Rich factor!

Did you know….

That I am originally from Wolverhampton? I also spent half my life in Stoke on Trent and Moseley in Birmingham. Although my everyday accent is a mixture of RP and all the other places I have lived..I can give you a genuine Black Country or Birmingham accent. Variations are obviously possible from the softest to the strongest.

I am the voice of Birmingham City Council for their telephone System,, NHS choices Solihull plus many more companies from Worcester to Dudley.

When the new 111 service was introduced to Birmingham and the West Midlands I was their obvious choice of voice, as my accent is genuine, and local people can relate to it.

Here is a recent radio advert for Birmingham Community Trust made for Maple Street Studios

Jingle for Mix 96

Before i was a voice over i was a session and jingle singer, and occasionally i still get the opportunity to sing the odd jingle. Yesterday I was asked to sing this little cracker for UKRD

Langley Gerrard of UKRD asked for a 30′-40’s style cutsey, American style for a MIX 96 advertising initiative. I had great fun singing this;)

Latest projects and clients

Whew, what a year! Latest projects have seen me voice…

Trails for Disney TV South Afica. Become the voice of a brand of Dutch milk for several African TV commercials. The voice of new Internet radio station Hyderadio. Have the lovely opportunity to be the narrator for all the stories published in the online edition of The Simple Things magazine and voice hundreds of ads for radio, and countless IVR messages and short film projects, including several for Barclay’s bank.

I’ve had great fun being interviewed by several magazines and too:)

I’ve also had the privilege of directing and coaching some wonderful new voice talent, co-presented another voice over master class via Ultravoice with Peter Dickson and continued to sing in Burlesque and private clubs all over the UK with my trio The BelleFleurs. and
